The Creations of Wes Brown also known as GQ Beats, are limitless. With a piano, guitar, and drum set readily available, this producer carefully composes each track with the character of an artist in mind. Born with one hand on the keys of a church organ and the other on his ASR Trubo, his music is undoubtedly his passion. Bedstuy born and Brooklyn native, this superb studioholic is a stranger to few. And it is from Brooklyn, that GQ Beats has begun to part the sea of inadequate producers for his timely entrance. Inspiration to his current field originated from childhood interaction with people, such as his older brother Cee and God brother Madd Money Murf who was security for Big Daddy Kane(1988).
In 1995, He mimicked his childhood introduction to Hip Hop and developed a rap group called, Knight Fam which consisted of Mo, Don Price Omega Red. As a result of experiences that followed, he gained a taste of what a producer should and shouldnt be. Today, production is his way of supporting those who deserve to be heard. However, his contribution does not consist of simply recycled rhythms, but of uniquely amazing sounds tailored to the needs of individual lyricists. His instrumental ability allows him inject his work with a mini-orchestra when needed.
His versatility is a gift to his many talents. For him, the doors of Hip Hop are simply unbinding. He continues to step onto the stage of Hip Hop, Reggae, Calypso, Techno, Gospel, R&B, Ballots and just about every music category. The complementary music produced by Wes Brown aka GQ Beats on the Formula One Motoring website testifies to that.
