Who Is Glory Ave. Entertainment ?

GLORY AVE ENTERTAINMENT Was Founded in June 2009 by Label owner/Recording artist Chanz Simmons aka “Admiral”,   after  the breakup of his long time group BXC, and a few of months considering ending his music career, he was convinced by family and friends that that the time had come for him to  begin his own  movement.  Utilizing the skills he developed during his time in the streets and as an executive for the Neiman Marcus Group, Chanz sharpened his business savvy and decided to launch Glory Ave Ent.  The name was created as an tribute to the neighborhood where he was born and raised (Story Avenue) in the Soundview section of the BX.  As an  independent artist in his group for nearly 10 years, Admiral learned all aspects of music game and used it as a blueprint for his new venture. The company provides artist management and development services, production, event promotion as well. It also serves as the record  label for a hand picked group of hip hop and R&B artists and producers.  In November 2009, the company independently released Admiral’s debut project God’s Work  The Street LP featuring the underground Bronx anthem “X UP”. The critically acclaimed street  album drew high praise throughout the NYC underground scene has received airplay throughout underground radio.  It also represented the beginning of a new chapter for Admiral. The album features fellow Glory Ave recording artist Kurt Mastas and includes  2 appearances from new addition Sean Ray.

During a performance in March 2010, Admiral was introduced by promoter Slims Da Bank to an up and coming R&B/Soul artist named Miss Michelle.  He was instantly blown away by her performance and invited to her collaborate on a record for his new project. The two artists clicked immediately. Although  the pair could not immediately work together due to obligations to her former management company. Admiral promised her a place in his company if she wanted it. After a few months of consideration, Miss Michelle severed ties with her management and joined Glory Ave Entertainment shortly after.  Since then,  the pair along with the rest of the family have built the Glory Ave into one of the most respected new companies in NYC.
