Get To Know Alexandria Arroyo
New York-native Alexandria Arroyo was made for the stage. Born on July 19, 1986 on the Lower East Side to parents of Puerto Rican descent, Alexandria spent the majority of her childhood learning the art of musical performance.
From the age of five to eleven, she studied the cello and voice at the Third Street Music School Settlement and discovered her love and passion for music. She also studied dance through the Hudson Gil Beacon Program, where she was discovered by choreographer Anthony Rodriguez who invited her to join his junior dance company La Luz. She later attended the Talented Unlimited High School on the Upper East Side, where she studied her talent of vocal performance. Being in Jazz choir Woman's choir and Concert choir made her a well rounded vocalist. She was also chosen from a select few of her class to perform back up for Whitney Houston. After graduating high school she was chosen to appear in the off broadway musical called "Love Life and Happy Endings" in Barbados.
Most recently Alexandria has been performing on the Lower East Side with other under ground artist vibeing out and expanding her fan base. Her music is fun, youthful, exciting and full of passion. Doesn't matter what age you are there's something for everyone.
