Growing up in the mean streets of the Bronx in the late 90’s and early 2000’s was “no walk in the park”. Drug infested neighborhoods and crooked cops were at an all time high. “I had to stay focused in order to not get swallowed up by the streets. Real talk” says Martin “SLEDGE” Watson. Sledge is a talented hip hop artist from the Bronx, New York. His trials and tribulations and gifted word play has lead Sledge to express himself through music. “I like to paint vivid pictures in my songs” says Sledge. “Whether it’s a fun record or a hard record I want my songs to be motion picture like for the listener”.
