Standing tall, steady with a calm demeanor Lamar “L. Hammond” has been gaining the attention of audiences in Seattle, Tacoma, and beyond since 2005.
Born in St. Louis, MO to a single mother in the military, L. Hammond, the oldest of three moved across the country most of his life. Upon moving to Connecticut, L.Hammond remembers recognizing music as his passion. It is after a few more times it is here in South Seattle via Tacoma that L. Hammond has found his home.
Noting influences from all genres of music and entertainment, L.Hammond not only understands the equation to creating a crowd pleaser, but delivers his style with the ease of a seasoned veteran. L.Hammond translates that same demeanor to the stage capturing audience attention with high energy and personable delivery.
Beginning first by creating Mixtape Monster Volumes 1, 2, and 3. L. Hammond was asked to be a guest at DJ Hyphen’s Sunday night Sound Session summer of 2007. Next, L.Hammond created “The Mixtape” a project under the entertainment group Faded and Famous that Hammond helped establish. It is with this project that L.Hammond, began his start to success.
Crediting his rising success to not only to Faded&Famous and his fans but also his filming crew Bold View productions, L. Hammond has performed at dozens of locations in the NorthWest region, including the Capital Theater in Yakima,Wa.
