Hotpa was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He got his start in a local band called Mental Brotherhood. Their debut album “Life In Mountain View” was considered an underground classic. The group toured through the Westcoast as well as Europe. Since then, Hotpa has been working on his solo career. He was featured on the highly successful compilation called “Bayside” which was released in Japan. The album has since sold over 150,000 units and helped to launch Hotpa into the Japanese music scene. Hotpa was then part of a successful tour that helped to promote the album in many cities all over Japan. Recently Hotpa has been working on many different projects with other local and national artists. He is currently busy with 2 new albums for release in Japan and U.S. His new albums will feature U.S. Artists: E-40, Mistah Fab, Keak Da Sneak, San Quinn, Sunspot Jonz, Goldie Gold and more. His Japan Artist list includes: Big Ron, Jin, Sphere, Cornhead, Micky Rich, Hibi Killa, Jazzy Blaze and others.
