Singer, poet, songwriter and more, Phyr as she is affectionately known industry wide is an up and coming American performer hailing from the peach state, Fulton County to be exact. Now residing in the big apple with plans to take it by storm, this rising star has been making waves on the local scene with a tantalizing performance that has many saying that she has a shot to be the considered for a place amongst some of the more talked about acts in the game today. Born Takiyah Fowler, she fell in love with the performing arts beginning with writing music as a member of the New Beginning Church of God in Astoria Queens at the tender age of 10 years old. Moving on to the art of dance, Phyr is an alumnus of Dena's Dance School of Arts where she studied tap, ballet, and jazz leading up to an opportunity of performing at the Queens College in the Colden Auditorium.
In recent times, Phyr's focus has turned to her passion for hip Hop, performing to great applause throughout the city, as a part of renowned venues such as Tammany Hall, Webster Hall, Tobacco Shop Lounge, Irish Wolf Pub, Black Thorn 51, Trash Bar as a part of the 5K Concert Series, Brooklyn Festival and more. Highlighting her talent and grind, Phyr has been a guest on indie staples such as I Made You Famous show, Nando Hour as well as features online via Blazin Hot Artist, The Hype Magazine, Street Khemistry, This is 50, and Jack Thriller to name a few. Her new offering, Hunger Games is currently available on DatPiff as Phyr maintains a healthy schedule of performance and appearances.
